Atlanta's "Top Cat" Contest Criteria:

1) Send a photo of your feline friend to: Penwomanship, P.O. Box 235, Pine Lake, GA 30072-0235 and mark the outside of the envelope “Atlanta’s Top Cat Contest.” A $15 entry fee must accompany your entry. Fees benefit RescueCats. Make payable to Penwomanship with "Atlanta's Top Cat Contest" on the memo line. Photos should be larger than wallet-size but no larger than 8.5x11 for scanning purposes.

2) All entries for the Top Cat contest MUST BE RECEIVED BY July 8. Due to time constraints there can be no exceptions to this deadline.

3) All entries will be posted on the Penwomanship website (www.penwomanship.com). There will be three rounds of voting.

4) Deadline for first round of voting: July 15. Ten cats with the most votes will move forward to the second round of voting.

5) Deadline for second round of voting: July 22. Top 5 cats move on to the final round of voting.

6) Deadline for final round of voting: July 29. The cat with the most votes will be Atlanta's Top Cat.

7) Winner will be notified as soon as possible after July 29.

8) Winner will be officially announced at the "Cat's Meow" fundraiser on July 15. Winner will also be posted on the Penwomanship website.

9) Anyone can vote online for any pet up to five times for the same pet. Anyone voting over 5 times for the same pet will have ALL their votes disqualified.

10) Mail-in votes are also acceptable but must be received by the specified deadlines. Mail votes to: Penwomanship, Atlanta's Top Cat Contest, P.O. Box 235, Atlanta, GA 30072-0235.

11) Cat and owner must be residents of the Atlanta Metropolitan area.

What the winner of the "Top Cat" Contest gets:

Winner - both human and feline - get an overnight stay at the Comfort Inn in beautiful Dawsonville, nestled in the lovely north Georgia mountains.

Photo of the "Top Cat" will be displayed at the fundraiser on August 13.

"The Cat's Meow" Photo, Art and Writing Contest Criteria

Enter photos, artwork, poetry and essays of the feline variety to win!!!

Here are the CAT-egories:

Most precious
Most creative
Artwork
Poetry
Personal Essay

Here are the rules:

1) ALL ENTRIES MUST BE THE ORIGINAL WORK OF THE PERSON ENTERING.

2) Definition of "most creative" category: this category is for people whose cats tolerate being dressed up and/or set up for photos.

3) Photos altered in software programs are not acceptable.

4) Limit poetry length to no more than 50 lines. Limit essay length to no more than 300 words.

5) Photos and artwork must be larger than wallet size but no larger than 8.5x11 for scanning. Replications and photos of artwork are acceptable. Artwork includes: paintings, drawings, sculpture and other three dimensional mediums. Please send photos of sculpture and other three dimensional mediums. Unlimited number of entries per person, per category.

6) ALL SUBMISSIONS ARE NON-RETURNABLE. So please make sure to send us a copy of your work and not the "only copy."

7) There is a $5 entry fee for each entry. ENTRY FEES BENEFIT RESCUECATS. Please make check or money order payable to Penwomanship, with "Cat’s Meow Contest" in the memo line. Entry fees benefit RescueCats.

8) Mail entries to: Penwomanship, P.O. Box 235, Pine Lake, GA 30072-0235. Please mark the outside envelope "Contest entry." Entry forms are available online at www.penwomanship.com. Click on Events then follow the link to the Rescue Cats fundraiser page.

9) If you are unable to print a contest entry form, mail us the following information: Your name, your pet's name or pets' names, your mailing address, phone number, e-mail address and a 75 word description of the entries, i.e., what led to the photograph or artwork, how your pet adopted you, what your pet means to you, etc.

10) Any cat and owner from any location throughout the United States may enter the Cat’s Meow contest.

What the winners of the "Cat's Meow" Contest get:

1) There will be one winner in each category.

2) All work will be displayed at the fundraiser on August 15.

3) Work will also be published in a future issue of Penwomanship magazine as well as in the fundraiser program and on the website.

4) Winners receive the following:
